What a night last night!
WE DID IT!

Over a year of your generous support and positive energy has paid off – last night we learned that the voters have chosen me to advance to the General Election in November for California’s 38th State Senate District.
I’m honored by your tremendous support for our campaign! Voters sent a clear, unmistakable message that they want a State Senator who will fight for our environment, for a woman’s right to choose, and for gun violence prevention.
Last night’s victory left me humbled and grateful for your vote of confidence. I’m excited for the road ahead and the chance to represent you in Sacramento!
In this political environment, it takes courage to run for office. I want to acknowledge Joe Kerr for running a spirited campaign and bringing fresh ideas to the race. His candidacy brought into focus several important issues facing California, including wildfire prevention and drought management. I know he’ll continue to be an asset to our state.
Thank you for trusting me to help build our future,
The results so far…

These are the results as of 11:30 PM last night. As more late mail-ins and provisional ballots are counted, you can expect to see these numbers fluctuate somewhat. Whether we’ll end up in first or second place isn’t entirely clear yet, especially with two Democrats running against one Republican, but we’ll definitely be in the top-two when all the votes are counted.
