Our lead has now passed the 10,000-vote threshold! This is gratifying news as the updates continue to trend in the right direction.
Yesterday, the registrars in both Orange and San Diego counties added 21,577 votes, 12,056 (56%) for me and 9,521 (44%) for my opponent. Our lead now stands at 10,753 votes.

There won’t be any updated tallies for Senate District 38 today, so the next time we get new numbers will be Monday at 5pm. And of course I’ll keep you in the loop with those results.
Here’s something exciting! While our race has not been called by the media, the results are promising enough that yesterday afternoon the California State Senate called to invite me to attend New Member Orientation in Sacramento, which starts tomorrow.
Only one candidate from each race is invited to attend. I’ll learn about committees, meet current members and staffers, and acquaint myself with the ins and outs of how the Senate works! I can’t wait!
Thank you for all you’ve done to give me this opportunity to serve you!
With great appreciation,
