I’m happy to report that things are continuing to look good as the vote counting continues in my race to become your next state senator!
I’m writing this from Sacramento, where the senate has invited me to its New Member Orientation. Although it is still too early for an official victory announcement, only one candidate from each race was invited – that’s a true indication of their confidence in our success.
And these new numbers (above) are also encouraging! Since I last wrote to you on Sunday morning, the registrars in both Orange and San Diego counties have added 39,411 votes, 21,356 (54%) for me and 18,055 (46%) for my opponent. Our lead has now increased significantly, to 14,054 votes.
The next results for Senate District 38 will be released Wednesday evening, and I’ll be sure to let you know how that goes.
