You’re invited to hear from Congressional candidate Mike Levin on Sunday, July 29 from 3-5 p.m. at a co-hosted Meet & Greet!
In the 49th Congressional District, we have an excellent shot at electing a strong, principled, viable candidate for our crucial U.S. House of Representatives seat this November! This opportunity doesn’t present itself every election.
Throughout Mike’s life, he’s proven himself to be a successful go-getter. As student body president at Stanford University, attending Duke Law School and working as an attorney focused on environmental and energy work, he has demonstrated the commitment to excellence and achievement that we deserve in Congress.
This is no time to sit back and hope that things work out. We need to be educated about the candidates and make sure everyone we know votes for the one who best reflects what we want from our U.S. Congress.
The Meet & Greet is your chance to talk with Mike personally. He’ll also address our group about important issues, and answer our questions.
If you’d like to join us on Sunday, July 29 from 3-5 p.m., please RSVP to [email protected]. A flier with some additional information about this co-hosted event is below. If you can’t make the event but would like to support Mike’s campaign, check out his website here, or you can donate here.
Our first ‘Walk With the Mayor’ was a blast!
My re-election campaign is off to a strong and fun start! This week featured the first “Walk with the Mayor”, where we hiked the Encinitas Ranch loop trail, which took almost an hour. A great group, aged 9-93, showed up to walk, ask questions and chat with me while we enjoyed the fresh air and local scenery. I personally spoke with each person who wanted to share a perspective or concern.
We’re looking forward to “Walk with the Mayor II,” happening at 9 a.m. this coming Saturday at the Olivenhain Meeting Hall. Our special guests will be City Council District 4 candidate and current City Councilmember Joe Mosca and Congressional candidate Mike Levin.
Please join us! No RSVP required, but it’s always appreciated, if possible. You can RSVP on Facebook or on my campaign website.

City Council update
We have an Encinitas City Council meeting this Wednesday evening at City Hall, where the main issue is the second reading of the housing plan update. I’ll let you know how that goes in next Sunday’s newsletter.
I hope everyone is enjoying our tropical weather! I sure am. This is the best time of year to make it to the beach and bask in the warm water while it lasts. We sure do live in paradise!
In ongoing service,
P.S. With so many folks enjoying summer travel, this anonymous quote seems apropos:
“We travel not to escape life, but for life not to escape us.”
